Post Fellowship Training
Australasian Colorectal Fellowship for two years. Followed by laparoscopic surgery in Adelaide for one year before returning to Waikato Hospital as a fulltime colorectal and laparoscopic surgeon in April, 2005.
Interests
- Fully trained general surgeon with subspecialty training in the management of all colorectal disease.
- Proponent of minimally invasive procedures.
- Performing laparoscopic bowel resections for neoplastic and non neoplastic lesions. This approach minimizes wound size, patient discomfort and hospital stay. It also means a quicker return to normal activities.
- Laparoscopic surgery for other abdominal conditions such as gallstones, inguinal hernias, incisional hernias and appendicitis.
- Upper and lower gastro intestinal endoscopy.
